No good reading news

I’m ashamed to say that I have not finished a single book since the last post. I’ve been ridiculously busy with work. I have had a lot of time to read blogs though and I’ve discovered a few good new ones to add to my favorites page. I’ve also discovered about 3 new reading challenges that I want to join. This would be my first time doing blog challenges so hopefully I can be successful and complete some of them. I really wish that I knew how to post the challenges on the side of my blog page like I’ve seen other people do. Maybe I’ll ask someone through the comments section of their blog. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m still working through Sarah Dunant’s The Birth of Venus and Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced. At the same time, I’ve suscribed to Daily Lit‘s version of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The House of Seven Gables but I have yet to start reading it. It’s almost embarrassing how little reading I’ve gotten accomplished. I’m pathetic!
For someone with so many unread books piling up, you’d think I’d get crackin on all this reading. But I don’t. No I just sit at home when I get home from work everyday and do nothing because I’m so exhausted I can’t just relax with a book. Instead, I sit in front of the tv because it requires far less thinking. I feel as though I’m turning into one of those people who just buys books to collect them and have an impressive library rather than buying books for the love of reading. It’s making me sick!
Alright, I’m going to read because I’m NOT going to be one of THOSE people!
