Ok, so….I fell asleep around the beginning of hour 7! But now I’m up, had a shower, and did the dishes all of which took away precious reading time. Chalk it up to a bunch of rookie mistakes. Also, another hitch in the proceedings is that I have to leave the house at 5:30 (Eastern Time) for a minimum of 5 hours. My sewing club, (which does no sewing, mainly just girls hanging out getting a break from the husbands and kids), is getting together today. I knew this going in but thought that I would get a lot more accomplished by now. Oh well. This is all stuff to remember for the next read-a-thon. I’m really enjoying the book though and I’m hopeful that I will finish it. I’ve got one more hour to be productive until I have to get ready to leave. Hopefully, I don’t run into any other distractions!
Sounds like you are having fun and that’s the most important thing! =)
Good luck with the rest of the read-a-thon!
Having fun is the important thing anyhow! I didn’t want to give up the chance to go outside and walk around in the beautiful sunshine. You just kind of have to make what you can out of it, right? Right! Best of luck with the reading. It sounds to me like you’ve actually really accomplished a lot!
Sounds like you’re doing great though! Reading for 24 hours sounds fun to me, and I hope to try it out next year, but I can imagine you start to go a little stir crazy at some point? You seem to be doing great though! Good luck!
You’re doing great! Enjoy your sewing meeting and good luck with the rest of the readathon
You read three books, that’s sooooo good. I loved The Birth of Venus, it’s a great book for this challenge. Have a nice time out with your sewing club.
Having fun is the most important thing. It sounds like you did great. Taking a break is always a great way to get you focused back on your reading. I hope you have a good time with your sewing club.
